| Emma, too, is now a superhero. She also has this thing with a little yellow spanish dictionary book. She carries it around all the time. We don't know why. So, when mom ties her pink blanket around her neck, and she runs around making a wooshing sound to simulate flying, we have now started calling her, "Emmalita, the spanish superhero!"

| I must have forgotten what it's like to be 3, and convinced that you're a super hero. |

| It's kind of fun being a home owner...
yesterday, on my day off, I:
- finally fixed my broken garage door. one of the cables snapped. the hardest part was lifting the door up into the open position (helpful tip: make sure the track is aligned, and lift on the side without the spring
)
- then I took our busted out screen to the hardware store. the guy says "$15, pick it up next week." I say, "shoot, give me the stuff, $5, I'll have it done today." done.
- our lamp post light keeps burning out. I replaced the bulb and tried to waterproof it as much as possible.
things yet to to:
- reattach the side rail on the porch. the spindles are separating from the rail b/c the rail is separated from the post.
- kill or scare away all of the voles in the back yard
- kill all the bees from the barn/back yard so Jesse doesn't freak out.
- paint the piper hole cover that dad hershey bought me, without making it look like a paper plate.
- measure/find a chimney flu cover
- find a way to get rid of the cigarrete smoke leaking through the dividing wall b/w our side and the neighbors side. pray for grace and wisdom on that one.
- eventually, buy a dishwasher. hopefully sooner rather than later
that's all I can think of for now. I'm sure there is more. |

| It's good to spend a lot of time thinking about Jesus. It makes me love him more. |
